FOREIGN MINISTER AVCI: “GREEK CYPRIOT SIDE’S INHUMAN SIDE WAS SEEN ONCE MORE”

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Turgay Avcý responded to Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozaku Markulli’s criticisms over the visit of the President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdullah to the TRNC.

According to the statement issued by the TRNC Deputy Prime Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Markulli strongly reacted to the visit by Sheikh Bin Abdullah and his delegation, who came to Ercan Airport with a direct flight on a private plane from Dubai.

The statement pointed out that Markulli already started to carry out initiatives by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as well as many other institutions and associations.

Noting that Hristofyas and other president candidates participated to Marculli’s clamors, Foreign Minister Avcý stated that it was once again proved that Hristofyas and other president candidates, who pretend as if they were in favor of peace, are not different from Papadopoulos.

Stating that it is inevitable for Marculli and the Greek Cypriot administration to be defeated by the struggle being waged by the TRNC government for creating alternative political and economical living sectors, Foreign Minister Avcý said everyone is fed up with the Greek Cypriot offensiveness.

Avcý said: “It is no longer possible to remain mere spectators to the fact that the unfulfilled promises of the EU to the TRNC are the result of the Greek Cypriot Administration’s pressure.”

Continuing Foreign Minister Avcý said:

“In every step we take, we face with distorted Greek Cypriot mentality and its representative Markulli who do not want the Turkish Cypriot people to breath. However, it’s inevitable for Markullli and the Greek Cypriot administration which she represents, to fall flat. World’s public opinion is fed up with the Greek Cypriot offensiveness. We will keep going on our way with determination and eagerness”.
