TRNC MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: "INHUMANE ATTACKS IN LONDON IS AN UNACCEPTABLE TERRORIST ACT WHICH THREATENS THE SECURITY OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND ALL HUMANITY"

 

 

TRNC MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: "INHUMANE ATTACKS IN LONDON IS AN UNACCEPTABLE TERRORIST ACT WHICH THREATENS THE SECURITY OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND ALL HUMANITY"

The TRNC Deputy Prime Ministry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a written statement issued on 8 July 2005, stressing that it strongly condemned the attacks in London said it was an unacceptable terrorist act which threatened the security of the international community and all humanity.

The statement said the attacks had caused sadness and anger in the TRNC and that the attacks were a terrorist activity against the civilian community.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Serdar Denktas sent a letter of condolence to British Foreign Minister Jack Straw and the British High Commissioner to Nicosia Peter Millett.

In his letter, Serdar Denktas pointed out that the inhumane and shameful attacks in the UK caused sadness and anger in the TRNC and that the Turkish Cypriot people shared the pain of all the families of those who were killed and injured during the attacks and expressed his condolences to Straw on behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people.
