during his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador, Prime Minister Talat,
speaking to the press, said that Turkey and the TRNC was one step ahead of
their Greek-Greek Cypriot counterparts and if this momentum continued it
would be possible to restart the negotiations and reach a settlement that
would protect Turkish Cypriot interests.

Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s contacts in the USA, the Prime Minister
said they were in contact with Erdogan. He added that initiatives for a
settlement put forward by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot side would be very
influential in reaching a constructive conclusion. Prime Minister Talat also

image would leave a mark in the world.
