STUDIES ON MISSING PERSONS...
NAMES OF 6 IDENTIFIED MISSING PERSONS ANNOUNCED

Following the analyses on the remains of missing persons exhumed
during the excavations made on both Turkish and Greek Cypriot sides,
names of 6 Turkish Cypriot missing persons, whose identities have
been identified, were announced.
Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Martyrs’ Families and War Veterans
Ertan Ersan stated that the names of 6 Turkish Cypriot missing
persons who were massacred by the Greek Cypriots in Protara region
in 1964 are; Hüdaverdi Yusuf Osman, Ahmet Mustafa Meddi, Hasan Ziya,
Mustafa Hasan, Hüseyin Ahmet Şükrü and Hasan Ertuğrul Veli.
In a
written statement, Ersan pointed out that DNA tests on the remains
of 6 Turkish Cypriot missing persons were made and the remains would
be handed over to their families and be buried by mid-August.
