           The UN document which is actually prepared by the fake hands of the Greek Cypriots- Greeks - British - the USA and the EU is not a plan for a solution however, it is a document of captivity for the Turkish Cypriots... It is a trap set for the Turkish Cypriot people and a plot aimed at Helenising the island... The following are the issues desired to be enforced on us:  

-         The elimination of Motherland Turkey’s right of intervention solely in Cyprus by launching multinational forces which will be given the right of undertaking operations freely within the Turkish Cypriot side.

-         Diminishing the amount of land owned by the Turkish Cypriot side from 36.5% to 28.5%.

-         The population of the Greek Cypriots amounting to 33% of the total population in the Turkish Cypriot side within 20 years. Thus, if the Turkish Cypriot population is 300 thousand at that time, the amount of the Greek Cypriot population will be 100 thousand. Therefore, the amount of land owned by the Greek Cypriots will be 9% which means that the actual land owned by the Turkish Cypriots will be 19.5%.

-         According to the document 45 settlements will be given to the Greek Cypriots and make 60 thousand Turkish Cypriots flee from their homes for the 4th time in history.

-         With the evacuation of the 35-40 thousand Turkey origined people from the island the amount of refugees will reach 100 thousand which is half of the population in the TRNC.

-         By creating a Greek Cypriot cantonal area within the Karpaz peninsula, which is a strategically very important area, threat will arise against the Turkish Cypriots and motherland Turkey.

-         The Greek Cypriots coming to settle in the Turkish Cypriot side will make one third of the Turkish Cypriot population and will be represented in our Assembly. The election of the executive Board through a single list, may result with the election of the compatriots of the Greek Cypriots’.

-         The right will be given to the Greek Cypriots to return to their properties in the north and the Turkish Cypriots who did not own properties in the South however, the Turkish Cypriots who settled in the Greek Cypriot properties will be forced  to pay rent to the Greek Cypriot owner or buy that particular property. The issue of property will become so complex and unmanagable even within a century and will cause an environment of chaos, dispute and disorder.

-         Güzelyurt area is planned to be given to the Greek Cypriots regardless of its importance for the Turkish Cypriot side. Güzelyurt area collects 60 million qubic metres water fall annually which is 70% of the total water supplies in TRNC, from where 4 million qubic meters of water is distributed to Lefkoşa and Famagusta. The area covers 71.42% of the irritable agricultural lands and the income from citrus production is 40 million dolars. Yeşilırmak, on the other hand, supplies 25% of the drinking waters of the TRNC.  

These are the reasons why the UN document should be called ‘the captivity plan’. This is why we will resist...
